What We Need

The Associate Principal, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for a full cycle requisition load of primarily complex technical positions spanning different OCC departments. The individual will conduct a variety of candidate sourcing, attraction and hiring activities using an applicant tracking system (Workday) and ensuring adherence with OCC standards, policies and procedures. 

This individual will be experienced in highly technical recruiting for developers, architects, engineers and other roles as identified and assigned by the VP, Talent Acquisition. 

Additional responsibilities may include assigning requisitions and managing workload across the TA team, in coordination with the VP, Talent Acquisition and Finance as required.

The Associate Principal, TA will also lead or participate in key projects including but not limited to:

  • Support of regular reporting requirements including updating and maintenance of dashboards, commentary and strategy recommendations.

  • KPI development and deployment;

  • Time sensitive recruiting initiatives requiring specialized skills;

  • Workday optimization recommendations and testing;

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

  • The role is accountable for administering a full desk of open Contractor and FTE headcount, including measuring and reporting on recruiting activity against plan, conducting strategy/intake discussions.

  • This individual will serve as back up for the Executive Director, TA with regard to escalation and coverage during absences.

  • This individual will work closely with the TA Associate to assist in the planning, recruitment and onboarding of summer and year-round interns

  • Incumbents are responsible for managing the talent acquisition selection process for external, contract conversion and internal hires at all levels.

  • They will support the firm's talent acquisition policy and offer advice on all aspects of the talent acquisition and selection process including developing diverse slates of candidates for all assigned requisitions and educating hiring teams on the importance of diverse interview teams.

  • Incumbents may also be responsible for managing relationships with third-party vendors. Incumbents may assist with the recruitment of executives into the firm. Activities may include conducting research, executing robust searching strategies and negotiating complex offers to attract highly-skilled and credentialed candidates.

  • Day-to-day focus is on resolution of complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret against policies, guidelines or processes.

  • This role will have full ownership for one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and may also be considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.

  • Participate in the implementation of new functionality for TA systems. Participate in appropriate testing of new functionality and conduct pilots as necessary.

  • Manage third party relationships with HRIS vendors and partners. Participate in contract negotiations, monitor budget and resolve invoice issues.

  • Be involved in the quarterly management self-testing process, including monitoring activities for timely completion and escalating issues to the VP, TA in advance of submitting results for approval in Archer.

  • Ensure integrity of data and participate in audits. 

Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with TA Team members with regard to work allocation, initial escalation point and providing project support for key TA initiatives (e.g. Renaissance Program).

  • Works closely with Executive Director, TA to ensure team projects are resourced effectively, and deadlines and deliverables are being met.

  • Serves as backup for onboarding of new OCC team members.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Talent Acquisition programs and practices gained through minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible roles. 

  • Strong knowledge of HRIS applications including ATS 

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations governing talent acquisition including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act and other applicable laws. 

  • Strong analytical and detail orientation skills.

  • Project management and organizational skills.

  • At least three years of IT Recruiting, vendor management and projecct leadership experience.

  • Role functions as a subject area expert in multiple or specific skill sets, business areas or products.

  • Role is involved in the review and development of policies and procedures and may also be responsible for various projects to improve efficiencies.

  • Experience in high volume, full-cycle complex recruiting roles, managing at least 20 open headcount at any time. Role will include sourcing, scheduling, pre-hire and onboarding activities.

  • Comfortable in a highly regulated, complex environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Workday or other HRMS applications

  • Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Word

  • LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and other branding and marketing tools

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business (or equivalent) preferred.

  • Five plus years of experience in recruiting including experience with offer negotiation, vendor management, and requisition management. 

  • Project management experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations governing compensation and recruitment including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act and other applicable laws. 

  • Workday ATS experience preferred.
