We are currently seeking an experienced, energetic, and flexible People Ops Specialist, with demonstrated experience in benefits, to join our fast-paced start-up environment!  In this position, you’ll play a key role on our People Operations team and be tasked with providing exceptional support to our employees, managers, and leaders. Our People Operations function includes onboarding, benefits, leaves management, policies, workforce analytics, HRIS, employee relations, off-boarding, compliance, global processes, and more. We are especially interested in candidates with strong knowledge of compliance and/or leaves administration for multi-state employers in addition to benefits.
As a Specialist on our team, you will serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact in several of the people operations focus areas. You will also be cross-trained in the overall work activities of people operations and be flexible to support other activities as needed. Our headquarters are in Seattle, WA and preference will be given to local candidates. However, this remote role can be located in any state where we are operating. The current list is: Washington, Oregon, California, Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois, Texas, Arizona, North Carolina, Utah and more to come!
What You’ll Do 

- Serve as point of contact and SME for all things benefits
- Own the operations workload as point of contact and team SME related to several of the following: onboarding, leaves management, policies, workforce analytics, HRIS, employee relations, off-boarding, compliance, and global processes
- Assist in training and building competencies within People Team for areas of responsibility
- Create written SOPs and assist in determining measures of success for areas of responsibilities
- Review current processes, identify new opportunities, and implement new processes that improve efficiency and effectiveness while balancing people-centric approach
- Provide support in other activities in People Ops as needed


What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field preferred
- 4+ years of progressively responsible HR work experience to include 2+ years at HR Specialist, People Ops Specialist or Generalist (highly prefer work experience in start-up/early-stage environment)
- Provide support to employees, manager, and leaders with a people-centric focus based on
company culture principles and building employee engagement
- Must have a solid understanding of HR employment-related laws/regulations
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and prior success working cross functionally with various level of stakeholders
- Impeccable ethics and ability to handle confidential matters
- Demonstrated knowledge and comfort with HRIS systems (we utilize UKG/UltiPro)
- Project management skills including ability to oversee complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
