About The Role
Topic is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our People Team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the People function. The People Operations Coordinator will help organize, coordinate and carry out people operation projects, tasks and processes for the company. Along with the People Operations team, you will be critical in ensuring people processes and programs are executed seamlessly. Most importantly, you will serve as a culture ambassador in evangelizing and weaving in Tropic core values throughout many touch points across the employee lifecycle.
What You’ll Work On
- Maintain our HRIS by updating data from various sources, process new hires, promotion, terminations, and changes, and update finance to ensure compliance. Prepare proper documentation for all personnel changes.
- Work with the People Team on performance management and employee development reviews.
- Assist with our 401(k) plan administration
- Support our employee base with questions and serve as the liaison connecting employees to the broader People team when needed
- Serve as the initial contact to the team for all inquiries regarding benefits as well as company policies, procedures, and programs
- Partner with employees, talent acquisition and outside counsel to provide necessary immigration support
- Manage leave of absence requests and documentation in accordance with company policies and federal and local requirement
- Make recommendations to assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws and regulations
- Audit Open Enrollment process.
- Perform other related HR and office duties as needed and assigned.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of HR coordination experience
- Experience with benefits & 401k administration.
- Experience with HRIS management.
- Passion for people and HR.
- Thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and people skills with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
- A ‘Can do attitude’, result-oriented, and resourceful mindset
- Proven experience managing multiple priorities.
