About the role/Position Overview:

SHIFT is hiring for a passionate People Solutions Coordinator to join our highly dynamic People team. This position is essential to the successful administration of the People Operations department and will be a true coordinator, wearer of many hats within the organization. 

In this role, you will be responsible for HR administration, such as interpreting and executing HR policies and procedures; onboarding/off-boarding, compliance tracking, reporting, and some light benefits administration.

What you'll do/Duties (Essential Functions):

Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Assist the People Team with general HR inquiries including HR policies and procedures, systems administration, and tactfully managing or redirecting escalations
  • Assist with processing new hires, employee changes, and terminations
  • Partner closely with the Recruiting team and hiring managers to provide a best-in-class new hire onboarding experience
  • Help coordinate, facilitate, and oversee employee engagement activities
  • Maintain all employee files with 100% accuracy
  • Conduct routine audits (benefits, I-9, payroll, etc.) and recommend corrective actions
  • Perform other general administrative and clerical support for the People Ops Team

What we ask for/Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a People Operations/Human Resources department
  • Solid skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or G Suite equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be an autonomous and self-initiated individual with a desire to learn, succeed, and excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service-oriented mindset
  • Bonus points for experience with ADP Workforce Now (ADP-WFN)

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Will remain in a seated position for extended periods of time. 
  • Frequently operate small office equipment such as a computer.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed indoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift.
