People Generalist

Team:
Relativity is seeking a People Generalist who will work directly on a team of ambitious and influential People Business Partners and People Operations professionals that support all aspects of the employee lifecycle. Your mission is to support our Relativity teams at our test site at NASA Stennis Space Center and launch site at Cape Canaveral’s Space Force Station. As a member of our People team, you will focus on helping employees with frontline People-related questions, identify themes of opportunity, implement efficiencies in HR processes, tackle tough employee issues with respect, and operate as a well-rounded professional focused on fostering an HR culture that is focused on people and their success in the workplace. You lead by example and support our teams through effective partnership with our employees on a wide range of people-related initiatives and programs.
In your previous roles, you should have worked closely in resolving and mitigating employee issues, and have supported some HR related programs and processes, including but not limited to coordinating and facilitating new hire orientation, supporting company policies, explaining benefits programs, and managing minor employee relations issues. This role will be challenging, yet incredibly rewarding as we continue to grow our People team and the support we provide our client groups.
What you’ll do:
- Interpret and explain Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations to employees
- Maintain confidentiality when handling all employee information and ensures data privacy for all employees
- Identify and recommend process or program efficiencies across relevant HR programs
- Quickly and effectively address baseline employee concerns and employee relations issues
- Schedule and conduct new employee onboarding for the Stennis site
- Answer employee questions related to timecards, processes, policies, and other HR related questions and collaborate with appropriate team members on employee leaves, benefits, or other related programs
- Maintain and update human resources documents, such as onboarding documentation, policy updates, and personnel files
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment paperwork is completed
- Prepare, maintain, and track employment records related to hiring, exits, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources programs
- Track headcount planning and role fills for the Stennis and Cape sites
- Support and/or facilitate trainings on occasion, such as performance management or general employee development sessions
What you need to know:
- 2+ years of experience working in human resources
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or other related discipline
- Experience in working with various teams across various locations
- Knowledge of HR policies, and general application of policies in the workplace
- Skill in communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Experience in managing small HR projects
- Ability to apply general HR policies to specific problems and identify baseline solutions
- Ability to effectively manage employee needs in a fast-paced environment
Nice to haves but not required:
- Prior work experience in managing HR processes, policies, or generalist work
- Experience in a startup or agile environment
- Experience in working with manufacturing or with non-exempt employee populations
