Summary/objective

The People Advisor has a passion for solving complex people challenges, being comfortable managing multiple stakeholders at various levels, and an ability to negotiate competing priorities and deadlines. You’ll partner with specific client groups to provide local HR support aligning with People Business Partners, employees, and business leaders. This role is critical to enabling efficiency across the People organization. In this role, you will have a direct impact on our employees' experience at ZipRecruiter through Performance Management, Employee Relations, and Recognition.

Essential functions

  • Acts as local advisor to employees on People questions, such as employee data and employment relations issues
  • Works closely with People Business Partners and other stakeholders to implement programs, policies and initiatives with employees
  • Provide guidance to managers and partners on dispute resolution, disciplinary action, problem solving, and litigation avoidance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all regional, country, local and company regulations
  • Manage employee off-boarding process including communication with employee, exit-survey/exit interviews and separation agreements
  • Exercise critical thinking and influence in gathering and assessing all relevant information for end to end decision making

Travel will be required for this role

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Human Resources Operations, Human Resources Generalist or related field
  • Experience supporting teams of 200+ employees
  • Experience supporting remote workers
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. ADP WFN, BambooHR)
  • Ability to diagnose a problem and lead correction efforts through  effective communication and efficient execution

Preferred education and experience

  • SHRM or HRCI Certification
  • Strong ability to multi-task and respond effectively to changing priorities and demands
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various methods to a wide variety of audiences
  • Previous Google Suite experience
  • Exceptional problem solving skills with a passion for data integrity, process definition, and continuous learning
