About the team:
FIS Payroll is an elite team who heavily relies on teamwork and collaboration to accomplish accurate, timely in-house, end-to-end payroll processing for 25,000 US employees in 50 states and Puerto Rico.
What you will be doing:
You will be reviewing payroll data and documents for inefficiencies and errors, checking whether all amounts are accurate based on hours worked and ensuring payments are made on time. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent analytical skills with the ability to spot errors. Ultimately, you'll help us maintain an efficient payroll process that complies with all federal and state regulations and FIS company policies.

  • Serves as liaison to employees and team members to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company-specific pay policies.
  • Interprets pay policies, e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc. and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to various accounts correctly.
  • Document payroll processes and procedures
  • Primary point of contact for employees and vendor regarding withholding orders to ensure accuracy and compliance


What you bring:

  • Proven experience in similar role, minimum of 2 years
  • Broad knowledge of payroll principles, practices, processes, and procedures
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations that affect payroll and withholding orders
  • Experience in the use and administration of payroll systems e.g., Workday, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Kronos
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, team building and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines including prioritization of tasks


Added bonus if you have:

  • Kronos experience
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations
