Job Overview:

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Senior Learning and Development Specialist to assist in the integration of the bite sized curriculum (Oliver Wyman [OW] Lessons) and strategize how to bring peer to peer learning elements to our culture. A good portion of this role will require client stakeholder socialization and management. In addition, this role will take on special projects within the Learning and Development team including supporting the development of strategic or specialized content outside of the core curriculum and evolving our delivery channels. The role will report directly to the Global Head of Support Professional Learning.

** This position will be based out of the Raleigh, North Carolina office and work remotely though periodically will be required to go into the office for meetings, trainings and other community-building activities as needed.**

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for driving forward the design and rollout of OW Lessons and will be primarily responsible for project and some stakeholder management. Additionally, this individual will have responsibility for program facilitation, virtual and in-person, and some technical producing for virtual sessions in any area of L&D.

  • Assist, in partnership with key stakeholders (e.g., Chief Learning Office, Head of Learning and Development, Learning and Development Leadership Team, Subject Matter Experts, Talent Management, Consultants, and Specialists), the creation and rollout of OW Lessons.
  • Develop OW Lessons launch and communication materials including but not limited to PowerPoint slides, Learning guides, FAQs, email communications
  • Establish and maintain a credible and trusting relationship with the global L&D faculty to ensure that proper preparation and support is available for high quality programming in both live and virtual sessions
  • Consult and collaborate with the Learning and Development team on lesson development to ensure alignment with budgets, practicality of implementation and program effectiveness
  • Present regular project updates and progress to Learning and Development Leadership Team
  • Deliver and produce some training modules as required
  • Act as a quarterback for new and existing lessons, also contribute to their content development and implementation plans
  • Clearly be able to think through lesson objectives and determine the linkage between new and existing
  • Create and maintain OW Lessons Content Library


Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 3 experience working in Learning & Development,HR administration or event and training coordination.
  • 1-2 years of project management experience


Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-taskin a high-paced environment
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and an ability to work with minimal oversight
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team in a multicultural environment remote from the team
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Knowledge of Trello or other project management software
  • Working knowledge of Workday, Learning Management System and Zoom (or similar program) will be an asset
  • Ability to create technical reports using analytical skills
  • Experience in management consultancy, financial services, and/or a similar professional services industry will be an asset
  • Sense of humor
