What we’re looking for
As M1’s office and employee experience manager, you will be responsible for supporting M1’s physical office operations as well as creating M1’s hybrid/remote employee experience. Office spaces include the M1 HQ in the Loop and will soon include a WeWork space in Salt Lake City, UT. This person needs to bring a proactive approach to maintaining existing office conditions; coordinating installation of aesthetic items; planning for hybrid company events; and driving what the remove employee experience will look like at M1.
Our ideal candidate will think big-picture and knows that success is in the details. You can implement an overall strategy for Office support for our growing and evolving needs. You enjoy providing crucial administrative support to all different areas of our company and are eager to roll up your sleeves whenever an extra pair of hands is needed; no job is too big, too small, too early or too late.

What you’ll do
- M1’s workplace is your product, from the physical spaces to the virtual fabric to our hybrid team and culture. You are designing the connective tissue of our organization.
- Develop and roll out standards and norms for different ways we work (collaboration, building connection, communication, etc).
- Design a workplace environment that balances improved individual and team productivity while fostering strong interpersonal connections.
- Devise metrics to evaluate dynamic and hybrid work initiatives.
Office & Hybrid Experience
- Schedule routine maintenance of physical spaces.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes including evacuation plans, safety plans, etc.
- Ensure a clean, secure and wellness focused office environment.
Vendor Management
- Assist in contract and price negotiations with office vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate with facility management vendors (cleaning & catering).
Employee Experience
- Provide exceptional hospitality to employees and external visitors.
- Manager or swag initiatives.
- Assist in planning and executing in-house, hybrid, remote or offsite activities (lunches, team outings, celebrations).
- Expand on employee recognition initiatives and bring your own spin to employee culture.
Additional Requirements
- This role will require to be present during office hours; 9a to 5p
- Able to stand for 4+ hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Qualifications
- 3+ years administrative or office management experience with some experience in a progressive office space
- Some experience managing a team preferred
- Able to independently multi-task, efficiently prioritize, and hold team members accountable
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, project management, strategic planning and communication skills are required
- Exude positivity and empathy, all while being a team player and a leader in the organization
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
- Ability to make recommendations and decisions independently
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Be extremely detail oriented, picking up on small nuances and conversations to provide excellent service and care
