The Opportunity
As a North America, Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for directing, planning, managing, monitoring and executing on the end to end Payroll function for US and Canada businesses.
We are much more than our job descriptions, but here’s where you will begin….
-Ensure Afterpay maintains compliant and accurate payroll calculation and records
-Accountable for on time and accurate monthly Payroll for US and Canada
-Manage and maintain payroll records, ensuring they are accurate, timely and meet audit requirements without escalation
-Responsible for ensuring a compliant and stable payroll environment
-Own and drive payroll project activities as needed
-Accountable for delivering high quality payroll service to all employees within the business
-Lead, direct, and provide guidance and oversight to the team when troubleshooting complex situations to resolution
-Collaborative engagement with Human Resources & Remuneration and Benefits and Finance to provide seamless and expert payroll outcomes
-Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

You’ll have….
-10 + years’ experience in a payroll function, ideally within a high growth organization and/or a large corporate environment
-Previous United States and Canada Payroll Manager experience
-Experience with Payroll systems such as Trinet and ADP for 250+ employees will be highly regarded
-Extensive and well-developed knowledge of US and Canada Payroll requirements
-Deep knowledge and confidence in Compliance tasks relating to pension, tax, mobile phone payments, overtime and equity compensation
-Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel
-High attention to detail and process improvement mindset
-Ability and willingness to take on challenges, be team orientated and open-minded
-A can-do attitude and committed work ethic
-Ability to work within a fast paced environment
-Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
-Flexibility to adapt to a changing and ongoing growing environment
-Payroll Certification will be highly regarded
