Manager of Learning & Development

As our Manager of Learning & Development (L&D), you will create and facilitate learning content that fuels our mission and helps our employees achieve their potential. A key focus of your role will be creating content and programs to support leadership development for all leaders across ezCater, from first-time to experienced managers.
This role will report to our Chief People and Culture Officer. Our people are diverse and multi-dimensional - way more than just “human resources”. We reflect that belief in our name, the People Team, and in the work we do every day.
What you’ll do:
- Create a comprehensive L&D strategy to support our team members growth and development, from individual contributors through senior leadership.
- Establish a structured, scalable training program for new managers by creating content, facilitating sessions, and managing the overall program.
- Enhance our diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy by co-creating toolkits and leveraging our DEI team to educate and support our people.
- Provide regular reporting to the People Leadership Team, measuring efficacy of training programs and influencing investment future L&D initiatives.
- Be an ambassador of our commitment to growth and development by identifying and recommending opportunities to support our team’s development.
- Provide direction and support for our on-boarding programs through content creation and training materials curation.
You have:
- Varied experience creating and facilitating learning content, including individual soft skills development (e.g. communication, feedback) and team effectiveness (e.g. psychological safety, goal-setting).
- Experience with a variety of training mediums - virtual, live, workshops, curated content - and ability to leverage multiple methods based on training or participant needs.
- Experience working with or managing a formalized Learning Management System (LMS) for an organization of 300+.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style and content based on participant needs; able to build collaborative and meaningful relationships.
- A strong bias for action, with ability to proactively identify opportunities to contribute to team or business goals.
- A learning mindset, growth orientation, commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, owning it and figuring it out attitude, appetite to try it and track it, and trust in transparency (all aligning with ezCater culture ingredients).
- An eagerness and willingness to give and receive feedback, because we all love learning from each other.
- 4+ years experience as an L&D Manager
- Startup through scale-up experience: 200 to 1500 employees
- Tech industry experience - with customer service, sales and engineer employees
Starting Salary Range: 135,000 - $160,000
