Manager, Learning and Development
The Opportunity
Delaware North Global Headquarters is hiring a Manager, Learning and Development, to join our human resources team. As Manager, Learning and Development, you will be responsible for designing and delivering the learning and development strategy, roadmap, and measures of success focusing on strengthening leadership capability, enhancing associate development, and establishing foundational leadership programs across the organization.
The Manager, Learning and Development position may work remotely, on a hybrid basis, or on-site in Buffalo, New York. 20% travel for this role is expected to various subsidiary business locations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify learning requirements and recommend solutions to improve leadership, team, and organizational performance.
- Create processes and programs to enhance the associate experience including onboarding, engagement, development, and retention.
- Shape the learning and development, associate experience strategy, and priorities at the enterprise level.
- Build the short-term and long-term strategy for developing and delivering development solutions for aspiring, new, mid-level, and executive people leaders.
- Design the future of e-learning strategy.
- Identify opportunities and determine the potential impact and feasibility relative to new curriculums, technology tools, and e-learning solutions.
- Build targeted skill development programs and learning resources to increase associates' growth and performance.
- Support the development of internal talent through the design and implementation of high-potential programs, skill-gap analyses, career frameworks, and competency development.
- Bring innovation, creative thinking, and a solid understanding of current and evolving best practices, to shape the learning and development and associate experience strategy across the enterprise.
- Create talent development metrics and lead the evaluation processes of learning and development programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, Training & Development, related field, or equal experience. A Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- Professional Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning, and Development or Talent Management related certifications preferred such as SPHR, SHRM-SCP, ASTD.
- Certifications in individual, team, and leadership development assessments and feedback tools preferred such as MBTI, Hogan, DiSC, FIRO-B, 360s, change management, high performing teams, coaching.
- Proficient with talent management systems such as Saba, Workday, Success Factors, MS Office Suite applications, and instructional design tools such as Articulate, Captivate.
- 8-10 years of experience in specialized fields involving talent management.
- Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, competency mapping, e-learning technologies, tools, and instructional design skills.
- Strong virtual and in-person training, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with complex problem-solving and analytical thinking to diagnose talent-related challenges and deliver talent development solutions.
- Proven ability to build relationships and networks across organizations.
- Demonstrated organizational agility and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to effectively manage large-scale enterprise-wide programs and projects.
