This leadership position exists to manage the learning and development function for Gillette including clinical and non-clinical areas, this position is responsible for developing the workforce to meet the organization's needs, determining best educational practices to support organizational direction, delivering high quality content and training materials using a variety of media, developing policies and procedures, managing department staff, and train and coach leaders and others involved in employee development efforts.

The annual salary range for this opportunity is $95,825 to $143,748 with a median salary of $119,787 annually. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity. Salary is just one component of the compensation package for employees. Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable learning and development strategies and plans, and ensure the delivery of high-quality education processes, including critical skills needs identification, orientation, workforce training, employee development, leadership programs, and overall learning and development design and delivery.

    • Lead the learning and development function to improve employee performance and develop employees for future responsibilities.
    • Evaluate learning and development needs and design and implement strategic responses.
    • Manage learning and development activities and related programs to ensure the availability of a qualified, diverse workforce, including targeted programs to address specific educational needs as they are discovered.
    • Lead a centralized process for addressing competencies and required training.
    • Plan, design, and communicate about educational programs on a variety of topics, including but not limited to quality and safety, diversity and inclusion, well being, customer service, and leadership.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal, accreditation, and regularly requirements related to education and training for clinical and non-clinical positions.
    • Provide direct guidance to employees and leaders seeking expert advice on a learning and development needs.
    • Support leaders on major workforce-related projects that require training and education support.
    • Track and report on key metrics. Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.


  • Develops relationships, manages interactions and provides learning and development leadership with the goal of providing excellent service and organizational success in the area of learning and development.

    • Manage the relationships with vendors, agencies, and others who provide services through such as trainers, consultants, coaches, etc
    • Mentor learning and development professionals and others involved in educational projects.
    • Develop, manage, and measure programs and policies that contribute to a strong customer service culture in the education function.
  • Directs the learning and development function and department.
  • Participates in setting the direction for the department based on the needs of the organization.

    • Translate the vision, mission and strategy into department projects and initiatives and recommend improvements and implement solutions.
    • Provide oversight for policy and procedure development related to learning and development to improve efficiency and maintain compliance to all state and federal regulations.
    • Communicate initiatives to leaders and others within the organization to achieve desired outcomes. Solicit feedback.



Required:

  • Minimum five years designing and implementing employee development programs.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience working in a health care organization or other clinical education programs
  • Previous management experience or other leadership experience
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of:
    • Learning concepts
    • Training and development methods and techniques
    • Customer service
    • Planning and project management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills



Preferred:

  • Master's degree
