We are looking for a DEI practitioner to join our quickly growing team! Reporting to the VP, DEI, the success and impact of this individual is directly tied to supporting the implementation of  strategic and programmatic initiatives against a three-part framework. 

  1. Employees | Embed a culture of inclusion and belonging; establishing DEI programs to enable employee engagement
  2. Patients | Champion health equity; empowering culturally inclusive care
  3. Community | Impact communities where we work and live; building an approach to corporate social responsibility

The Manager, DEI will be primarily focused on the implementing the first pillar to embed a culture of inclusion and belonging by establishing DEI programs to enable employee engagement. 

How you can make a difference:

  • Manage strategic DEI projects and programs, including ideation and initiation, creation and documentation of processes, program roll out and communication, and reporting on program effectiveness and results. Programs include, but not limited to BRGs, diversity councils
  • Partner with HR Service Delivery to manage regular communications calendar cadence for DEI updates on strategy, events, programs, and days/months of observance, across all channels within the internal organization
  • Serving as a subject matter expert, researching and advising on DEI topics
  • Supporting the talent acquisition team to help create a brand that appeals to diverse applicants and removes bias
  • Identifying external trends and recognizing best practice which will increase diversity among the workforce and inclusion within our culture
  • Maintaining relationships with external organizations to improve our pipeline of diverse talent and suppliers
  • Reviewing the organizations workplace, policies and procedures, ensuring that these are all inclusive

  • You are self-assured and have a high tolerance for ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • You are metrics-focused with ability and history of using analytics to solve problems and develop solutions
  • A low ego and humility; an ability to gain trust through effective communication and doing what you say you will do

Experience to drive change:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years in a DEI management role, leading enterprise wide initiatives
  • Proven track record of leading DEI programs including BRG/ERGs and diversity councils
  • Experience delivering results
  • Ability to influence without authority, think proactively and work both collaboratively and independently
  • Strong program management experience with demonstrated ability to execute high-visibiilty programs that involve multiple stakeholders with ambitious deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate complex information in an approachable manner.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cultural values and norms of various communities including communities of color, LGBTQ+, military, differently abled and particularly underserved communities (urban and rural)
  • General understanding of the healthcare industry and various teams within the organization
  • Positive attitude and outlook manifested in a solutions-oriented approach
  • Ability to travel as needed
