Please Note: We are flexible and negotiable when it comes to work location. This position can sit in any of our major office locations or it can sit 100% remotely. This role is not eligible to be performed remotely from Alaska, Colorado, Mississippi, or Montana.

The Manager, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) will have an appreciation for inherent and acquired diversity and will have a proven track record of supporting DEI strategy from early stages of development to execution.

The Manager, DEI will report to the VP, DEI and contribute to the DEI strategy and execution of the company's internal and external programs, initiatives and partnerships which aim to increase the company's performance. This individual will build programs and tools, develop metrics/scorecards and track progress to support the organization's DEI strategy and assess effectiveness of programs. Communicates policies, diversity programs and progress to employees and management.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the evolvement of strategy for aggressive DEI programs and initiatives aimed at achieving world-class DEI performance.
  • Set DEI success metrics/accountability framework and works with VP to report progress and develop presentations for executive-level meetings.
  • Understand and evaluate key data sources and provides tools and resources to HR Advisors, Leadership Development and Talent Management and Talent Acquisition.
  • Develop and maintain detailed DEI project plans to drive results-oriented programs.
  • Support implementation of DEI Task Force recommendations.
  • Works closely with Learning & Development to measure and track DEI training and development programs to develop capabilities and empower Voya employees in DEI.
  • Supports all Employee-Led Councils.
  • Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders that align with Voya's corporate values and DEI objectives, including nonprofit organizations.
  • Manage strategic partnerships and charitable sponsorships to further DEI objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.



Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Prefer 3+ years of general DEI, HR or business experience.
  • Proven ability to create successful processes and measurements.
  • Demonstrated passion for DEI, and an ability to inspire and engage others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow-through and meet deadlines effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Results-oriented, ideally with analytical skills and a passion for social change.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products; strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
