The People team at Coursera is responsible for building our teams, retaining our amazing talent, and developing programs that create community and promote employee betterment. Coursera is looking for a Manager, DE&I Programs to shape and deliver our global DE&I and employee experience programs. This role will work with the Head of Employee Experiences, Inclusion and Development (EEID) to create and translate our strategy and culture into an impactful employee experience. This collaborative role will work closely with other members of Diversity, Equity & inclusion, Employee Engagement and Experiences, and People Leadership team to align DE&I initiatives with business strategies & metrics focusing on the workforce and marketplace. We are seeking a team-oriented and collaborative leader with a consultative mind-set and a passion for diversity, equity and inclusion results.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic partner, consultant, and coach to our leaders, People Partners, DE&I workgroups, and key stakeholders to scale our culture, integrate EEID initiatives and make progress on our strategic DE&I goals
  • In collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence & Business Leaders, develop and implement enterprise-wide programs to align DE&I initiatives with business strategies & metrics focusing on the workforce and marketplace
  • Own overall management of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) program; inclusive of communication planning, stakeholder management, program development for heritage months and observations days
  • Coordinate participation and program communication with key stakeholders and business partners
  • Build relationships and execute programming with internal teams and external organizations focused on empowering underrepresented groups
  • Define metrics for measuring the effectiveness of initiatives implemented, and report progress to stakeholders
  • Use influence to drive engagement and accountability for the organization’s culture and EEID proposition

Basic Qualifications:

  • 6+ years business experience; including minimum of 4 years full-time, progressive diversity, equity, and inclusion experience, designing, executing and reporting on DE&I programs
  • Demonstrated history designing and deploying data-driven, global DE&I programs that drive impact across various identities, regions and job functions
  • Demonstrated history of project/program management skills with demonstrated good judgment, innovative thought-leadership, and creativity
  • Experience with facilitation and internal/external presenting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of the concepts related to diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as the contexts and cultures within organizations that impact the implementation and management of effective change efforts
  • Strategic mindset with a bias towards action and creative problem-solving
  • Experience working in matrixed and lean organizations
  • Strong collaborator and influencer - ability to reach beyond the immediate scope to influence and lead change initiatives with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex ideas, unique concepts, and proposals to enroll team, peers, and management. Excellent writing and presentation skills
