About the job
The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Learning Portfolio Leader with expertise in learning portfolio management, curriculum development, and experience with instructional design to join us. In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring that a portfolio of learning offerings is producing the desired business outcome, you'll achieve this through monitoring and addressing the performance, value, and alignment of the portfolio. As a Learning Portfolio Leader, you'll work with the Global Functional Engagement team to determine current and future business needs and identify if current learning solutions are available and manage the design and development curation of new learning solutions. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Identify, document, and prioritize learning projects and needed resources in collaboration with the Global Functions Engagement team
  • Maintain and manage the development pipeline
  • Prepare comprehensive learning solutions strategies and implementation plans to meet identified business needs
  • Develop and maintain a view of portfolio offerings that include the audience and problems they address
  • Continuously monitor and report on the health of your portfolio via measurement of performance indicators and pre-defined business outcomes; develop actionable insights from data and reports
  • Monitor and prioritize the need for content revisions or retire content when appropriate
  • For development of new or revised content, partner with project teams to ensure that development and implementation efforts achieve the intended outcomes
  • Review and provide feedback on project deliverables (e.g., courses, programs)
  • Maintain oversight of implementation efforts, ensuring that Service Delivery Models are written and feasible for the life of the course or program
  • Create and carry out a curation strategy to get the most out of our in-house resources versus content available on the market
  • Research and identify training solution vendors that meet the learning goals
  • Facilitate learning solutions pilots
  • Coach and certify facilitators in instructor-led and virtual instructor-led deliveries
  • Manager vendor relationships as necessary


What you will bring

  • Proven record of designing, developing, and implementing effective learning and development solutions and curricula that are practical, realistic, and scalable; proven ability to translate learning theory into practical, consumable, and scalable solutions is critical
  • 10+ years of experience in design, development, facilitation, program management, and curriculum or portfolio management within corporate learning
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning theory and human performance improvement (HPI)
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly identify meaningful business impact and success metrics for learning and development solutions
  • Ability to analyze and visualize data to articulate portfolio performance
  • Experience working in a globally matrixed environment, with a record of balancing global and geographic needs to produce impactful business outcomes
  • Highly consultative approach and a proven record of effective collaboration and influence at all levels of an organization, with demonstrated capability to achieve goals in a fast-paced, dynamic, and continuously evolving environment
  • Ability to work in and manage ambiguity, including dealing with issues, problems, and events that don't always have a process, system, or solution in place
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex, strategic ideas or concepts in a business and user-friendly manner
