JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Learning and Development Partner is responsible for improving the productivity and readiness of the organization's employees. This position works closely with our Senior HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition Partner, and our department managers to assesses department level, program level (including Analyst Development Program, LAUNCH: Early Career Program, and the Emerging Talent Internship Program,) and company-wide learning and developmental needs such as supervisory and leadership training. The role identifies, arranges, and administers suitable training solutions for employees designed to educate, enhance performance, and prepare our extraordinary employee base for near- and long-term success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts annual training and assesses development needs.
  • Develops training and development programs and objectives.
  • Suggests new resources and leverages existing resources to deliver learning initiatives.
  • Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
  • Plans, organizes, facilitates, schedules and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
  • Oversees programmatic training including presenter and content coordination, scheduling, extracurricular events, teaching assistants, mentor assignments, and supplies associated with recruiting programs.
  • Develops and maintains organizational communications such as Slack, and HR SharePoint to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Administers Learning Management System.
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed trainings for evaluation and result metrics.
    Modifies programs as needed.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and values of the HR function and of Hamilton Lane overall.
  • Works effectively as a team member with members of management and the HR group.
  • Maintains relationships with external L&D professionals and professional groups in order to stay up to date on latest trends in corporate learning.


NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS; Education and/or Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced project manager.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Experience managing or desire to master a LMS.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • College degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related position, financial services sector experience a very strong plus.
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential preferred.
  • SHRM or PHR credential preferred.
