Lead, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
For more than a decade, MassMutual has focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to attract the best talent, create a fair, innovative and inclusive culture, and better reach and serve our customers. Through the years, we have helped leaders understand the impact of bias and systemic privilege, created an environment for bold conversations, and motivated leaders to hire, engage and develop people who are different than them.
In the divisive and polarized world in which we live, MassMutual continues to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace by living our values, standing up against racism and inequality, and supporting all of our employees. While we have made progress, we know there's always more work to do, and are looking for someone who is an experienced and passionate DEI leader to join our team, and help us achieve our goal of becoming a world class leader in DEI.
The DEI Lead will report to the Head of DEI and will serve as a subject matter expert, thought partner and advisor on DEI management, providing guidance and consultation to business leaders, HR partners, managers, and employees. This person will be responsible for formulating and executing customized enterprise-wide, department- and affinity-specific diversity strategies that result in driving action and change in the organization. They will lead DEI efforts, working closely with our Business Resource Groups (BRG) and others on initiatives to drive equity. Utilizing metrics, benchmarking data, and best practices research, they will lead the annual diversity business planning process, formulating recommendations and action plans for lines of business in partnership with the Workforce Analytics, HR business partners and senior leadership teams. This individual will be expected to quickly learn MassMutual's business and priorities, and ensure efforts are aligned and support business outcomes. They will also serve as an HR liaison to one or more business resource groups, as well as a relationship manager for external strategic partners.
We are looking for someone who will bring the courage to drive change and help the organization fully embrace the values of diversity, equity and inclusion. In this role, you'll get the pride of contributing to a culture of belonging, in a company devoted to equity for all.
