The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for connecting the world to lifelong transformative learning. They also work to shape public conversations on the future of education and work. The team is segmented into four areas of focus: Consumer Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Creative, and Communications. The team is currently focused on bringing new learners to the site, connecting students to degree programs, attracting new enterprise customers — including businesses, governments, and campuses — and creating a marketing system that nurtures learners throughout their professional lives. 


Reporting into the Director of Degree & Credential Recruitment on the Consumer Marketing Team, this role represents the Coursera brand to recruit Coursera degrees students via overseas recruitment agents in key global markets. The role negotiates terms of engagement, provides training to agents and their staff, and keeps the agent contacts engaged with Coursera through regular communication, enrollment target setting, planning and execution. The key deliverable is to build and maintain relationships with the agents to position Coursera degrees in global markets as the online degree provider of choice. The role supports the sourcing of quality and volume of international applicants, ensuring top quality applicants and enrollments to Coursera degrees, this includes achieving enrollment targets and OKRs, while creating a high value collaboration with the network of agency relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead student enrollment funnel management w/agencies – lead generation and conversion
  • Work alongside regional & global degree marketing, enrollment services & university partnership managers to identify market trends and opportunities for student recruitment
  • Manage a strong agency partnership network, ensuring adherence to SLAs to improve student & agency satisfaction.
  • Recruit new agents and onboard them
  • Identify agency partner growth opportunities and risk profile – active management
  • Monitor competitor activity enabling greater in-market competitor awareness and analysis

Basic Qualifications:

  • Business Fluency in English & at least one foreign language in agency source market
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in sales, marketing, business management or any business-related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in global recruitment agency sales, business development or acquisition.
  • 3+ years experience recruiting international students to degrees the APAC region (India & Asia)
  • Deep expertise in global online higher education products & services & competitive landscape
  • Business communication skills to interact with company executives and varying levels of staff as well as connect and network with professionals outside of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ experience selling online degrees.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Ability to handle several projects, vendors and contracts simultaneously
  • Quick in analysing data from numerous sources in determining the acquisition strategy and in researching and finding new agency partners
  • Customer-service orientated and consultative approach to selling
