Instructional Designer (Learning Experience Designer- Global Onboarding and Learning)

About the Role:
The Learning Experience Designer oversees various aspects of Field Onboarding including developing project plans, monitoring and summarizing progress of projects, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
What You'll Do:

  • Coach and mentor Talent Management & Learning team by designing standards and processes for consistency across all members.
  • Work closely with all internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts within the business to understand and identify the target audience's training needs.
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances knowledge transfer and retention.
  • Design training programs, classes, workshops, and online training.
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product.
  • Facilitate live or virtual training/courses.
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
  • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games etc).
  • Decide on the criteria used to measure the learner's performance and develop assessment strategies.
  • Scope and design innovative learning experiences that produce the desired learning, behavior change, and business outcomes
  • Discern the appropriate blend of learning technologies, social learning, cohorts, vendors, change management, or simply curated content to maximize the learner experience
  • Stay current and provide thought leadership on continuous innovation in learning.
  • Lead and project manage cross-functional resource teams to meet business and learning objectives
  • Partner collaboratively with subject matter experts to round out knowledge where needed, while owning the quality and on-time delivery of the final product
  • Influence others to adopt the most effective learning experience/solution


What You Need to Succeed:

  • 2 - 3 years client-facing experience in Human-Centered Design / Design Thinking;
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, curriculum development or the equivalent in related experience required.
  • Experience in developing training and writing curriculum that reflects knowledge of adult learning principles, different learning/work styles and established instructional design approaches and processes
  • Experience working with and influencing employees and management at all levels in the enterprise.
