Role and Responsibilities

The HR Manager will support our employees and leadership in our Distribution Center in Salt Lake City, UT. This role is an integral part of our Employee Experience team and will help us drive company growth in a dynamic, growing line of business (OTC) while ensuring a positive employee experience and compliance with all applicable laws and industry standards. You will be the first point of contact for our leadership and employees for this location and will assist in establishing this site and setting it up for growth. Responsibilities will include:

  • Administer and execute programs including but not limited to benefits and leave, compensation management, performance and talent management, recognition and rewards, safety, training, and development
  • Coach management and staff when issues arise
  • Address employee relations issues, participating in discussions and investigations, and escalate as needed
  • Coordinate with Recruiting and Learning teams for all onboarding activities to ensure positive experience for new hires and accurate process flow
  • Liaison with Finance and managers to ensure all employee data, including timecards, is accurate and complete for payroll processing
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices
  • Maintain employee files and other required documents
  • May require limited travel
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in an HR role
  • Deep understanding of best practices and trends related to talent management, employee engagement, and retention
  • Innovative and intellectually curious with a drive to develop solutions
  • Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and present information, and the ability to influence and coach at all levels of the organization
  • Team player who quickly builds trust and collaborative working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience working hands-on with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills

  • Current HR certification (PHR and/or SHRM-CP)
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
