Detailed Description

Description: The human resources coordinator is responsible for performing HR related functions in a number of areas. The HR member works closely with leadership in supporting designated staff and managers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assists with Benefits Administration responsibilities including but not limited to explaining company and federally provided benefits, assisting with administration of enrollment forms or questions, open enrollment, FMLA, LOA, Worker Injury, etc.
  • Actively participates in Employee Relations efforts, including, complaint, conflict resolution, mediation, training with managers on dealing with dept. issues, investigations, and exit interviews.
  • Initiates Training and Onboarding of new staff and managers.
  • Integral part of the Performance Management process from educating managers, collecting data, assisting with implementation of goals.
  • Participates in open discussion regarding Policy implementation and distribution.
  • Conducts Recruitment/Employment efforts by streamlining the requisition process with managers (i.e. title, salary etc.), posting positions, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, phone screens, arranging interviews, drafting offers, and presents and negotiates offers.


Additional Duties

  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual


improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.

  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database; including payroll related tasks.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


Skills and Experience

  • Attendance and punctuality is a must.
  • Must have good attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must work well under pressure or stressful situations.
  • Will uphold HR confidentiality standards and utilize fair and good judgement throughout HR practices.
  • Must be approachable and display grace under pressure.
  • Must work with a sense of urgency and show initiative to ask for tasks during slow times.
  • Customer Service knowledge is a plus.


Minimum Qualifications/Technical and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, business administration or related degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in an HR Role is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite products a must.
