Human Resources Coordinator

As a HR Coordinator, you will be a member of the Global Business Service team in the Employee Life Cycle, responsible for providing support to employees, managers, Human Resources (HR) Business Partners, and outside vendors. The incumbent will handle transactional components to support I9 compliance, ad hoc projects/activities, and other HR duties as needed to support the US Global Business Service (GBS) Front Office.

Your responsibilities

  • Process Unemployment Inquires, Verifications of Income and Employment
  • Gather documentation for subpoena request
  • Prepare reports to show status and progress of work
  • Participate on cross-functional teams as required for process improvement
  • Perform other duties to support immigration processing as assigned
  • Form I-9 processing - E-Verify compliance, tracking, auditing, and filing
  • Ensuring confidentiality and data protection, execution and delivery of information and services according to defined Service Level Agreements
  • Record employee inquiries in an appropriate IT system (ticket tool)
  • Provide necessary research, problem solving and resolution support for clients. Escalate more complex issues to management, as needed
  • Maintain an organized workflow by successfully monitoring and following up on all items assigned, including seeing problems through to resolution and closure with clients

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and/or experience combined and 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, internet and intranet required
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and organize effectively, in a time sensitive environment
  • HRIS experience preferred - SAP and Workday
  • Delivery focused and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong client relationship skills - ability to establish, manage and leverage relationships with internal and external partners
  • Must have strong communication and active listening skills
  • Comfortable working with people at varying levels of the organization, internal partner, external vendors and across an international environment with diverse cultures
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
