We’re looking for a talented and driven HR Business Partner (HRBP) with demonstrated success in a dynamic environment to join Bungie’s People Team. This position will support an unannounced Bungie product team as well as our Incubation team. The HRBP will embed with their client leadership team(s) and serve as the human capital thought leader and strategist. This strategic role requires creative problem solving, a programmatic approach, and leveraging data and analytics to identify trends and recommend solutions that drive business success. The HRBP will guide, coach, and design effective organizations that deliver on Bungie's product roadmap. RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team of an unannounced Bungie project and Incubation to:

  • Understand the needs, business goals, and challenges of their teams/functions and provide perspective on how to successfully align people and business strategies, implement solutions, and improve organizational effectiveness
  • Leverage best practices for organization design and development to inform recommendations as teams scale
  • Develop a deep understanding of available workforce data and analytics to inform people strategy solutions that assist the business in realizing their product plan
  • Build leader capability through coaching, development, succession planning, and accountability partnership
  • Adeptly balance business needs, goals, and values with employee advocacy

Additionally, the HRBP will be expected to:

  • Consult as needed on the strategy, creation, and implementation of People Team programs and initiatives, ensuring that the needs of their client group(s) are represented in the programs we build
  • Partner with Recruiting on innovative talent acquisition strategies that support workforce planning for assigned client group(s)
  • Partner with HR managers on complex people issues
  • Partner with HR managers to assess organization health, identify trends, and recommend solutions
  • Engage in difficult conversations, giving and receiving constructive feedback with professionalism and candor
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of and commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equity

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong business and HR acumen, including demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience supporting a creative client group in an HRBP role (games industry or entertainment preferred)
  • Professional integrity, including: discretion, confidentiality, and excellent instinct and judgement for obtaining results in complex scenarios
  • Effective consulting and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence in all directions and build and maintain strong relationships in a distributed environment

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

  • Prior HR experience in games or entertainment
  • Experience scaling a matrixed organization
  • HR-specific education, training, or certification
  • Project Management capabilities
  • Experience creating and/or driving L&D or ID&E initiatives
  • Experience handling complex ER investigations

Most Bungie full-time employees will adopt a digital first approach allowing remote work in Bungie approved locations (outside of positions identified as 100% onsite in Bellevue/Seattle, or individuals preferring a hybrid/flex environment). Prospective full-time employees located outside of CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date. Contractors will follow a digital first approach adhering to the location guidelines agreed upon by our third-party employer/vendor and Bungie. Bungie’s remote policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion.
