Human Resources Business Partner
The role, at a glance:
As part of the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for supporting Biamp’s Operations business unit. This person will partner across the HR functions to deliver services and support to management and employees that add value and reflect the business objectives of the organization. A Biamp HRBP understands the importance of balancing knowledge in the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, culture, and its competition. The HRBP works collaboratively within Operations, as well as within the HR team and business at large to bring cohesive solutions to current and future business needs.
How you’ll contribute:
Collaborate with and provide coaching and insight to all levels of leadership within the Operations team. Advise and guide on day-to-day and long-term opportunities regarding performance management, annual reviews, career development, retention, scaling morale in tandem with productivity, and improving work relationships
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Seek to understand nuance in individual issues while also keeping an eye out for larger trends that should be addressed and corrected. Conduct effective and thorough investigations with objectivity and collectively beneficial outcomes
Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and effective policies. Evaluate and monitor efficacy of initiatives in training, development, succession planning, and other programs
Administer employee leaves of absences (including FMLA and State leaves, Workers Compensation, ADA), company benefits, and HR related tasks and processes within the HRIS
Understand legal and compliance practices, and how to maintain current knowledge of dynamic employment law basics. Consult with legal team when necessary
A successful candidate should have:
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge and skills:
A minimum of 5 years of experience within the HR field including resolving complex employee relations issues
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, and performance management
Bachelor’s degree preferred, SHRM-CP or PHR credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
Ability to work with a high level of discretion, confidentiality, and accuracy
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with an HRIS
Some nice-to-haves:
Desire to work in an environment that is primarily team-focused, but also allows for autonomy
