GENERAL SUMMARY:
This role will partner closely with senior leaders in the organization to advance people strategies and solutions aligned with short and long-term goals within Qualcomm. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be in an individual contributor role working effectively across a highly matrixed environment, engaging and aligning with business leaders, other HRBPs, HR Communities of Practice (HRCP), and People Solutions and Services to identify gaps and opportunities, and together develop the go-forward organizational and talent strategy. The incumbent will need to lead with customer focus, while demonstrating leadership agility and vitality across our matrixed and global footprint.

This role also includes knowledge of the business, industry, and state and federal law to enable the execution of the HRBP role.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Partners with senior HRBPs to understand the broader HR strategy for the businesses and functions.• Executes on HR solutions and initiatives that align to the broader business strategy and objectives.• Facilitates organizational diagnosis and metrics to drive organizational efficiency through talent and organizational capabilities and culture. Acts as a motivator for change; guides and advises organizational design, development, and organizational change solutions.• Is aware of industry, market and functional trends, and demonstrates these insights to develop appropriate HR strategies and solutions.• Evaluates requests from across the organization and prioritizes in collaboration with the business leaders, senior HRBPs and in alignment with the HR model.• Commissions HR solutions with the HRCPs or People Services and Solutions (PSS) or third-party vendors, as appropriate, aligning to business and HR goals and leads successful implementation of initiatives.• Partners with HRCPs in the shaping of appropriate and innovative HR solutions. Develops robust talent management plans to attract, retain, develop, and engage talent in critical roles.• Coaches senior leaders on sophisticated leadership and HR issues including development and talent performance and issues which could have the potential to build an advantage for the business. Builds organizational capability through development and/or facilitation of appropriate senior leadership team (i.e., team efficiency, goal development and alignment, manager capability, etc.)• Ensures fairness and organizational consistency with our company values.• Collects, integrates, analyzes, and interprets complex data and information from multiple sources across teams to develop solutions to challenging problems. • Uses deductive and inductive problem solving skills; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information may be missing or incomplete; requiring use of data analysis/interpretation skills.• Seeks and leverages opportunities to collaborate and develop cross-functional relationships to accomplish mutual goals.• Keeps relevant stakeholders informed and assesses impact of decisions on project timeline and stakeholders.• Contributes to new and innovative ways to accomplish work and improve existing methods to increase efficiencies across teams; gains support from leaders for translating new ideas into solutions and procedures.• Works independently with little supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:• 8+ Years of Human Resources Experience • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with specialist functions so as to leverage their capability in the delivery of HR services and products.• Demonstrated ability to lead cooperative efforts among members of a cross-functional project teams at a site level and regional level on matters that may or may not relate to HR directly but those that impact the smooth functioning of the business. • Demonstrated experience collaborating and developing cross-functional relationships to accomplish mutual goals.• Awareness of modern human resource practices.• Strong communication skills - verbal, written and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Global project management experience a plus
  • Multi-national company work experience is a plus
  • Merger & Acquisition experience especially in integrations a plus
