Job Objective:

Assists with the support and maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and ensures delivery of high-quality services and products to internal customers. Serves as a point-of-contact for the system, routine system configuration, assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Researches, analyzes, identifies and recommends system and process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develops, designs, builds, performs testing, basic maintenance, upgrades and enhances HRIS data, workflows within HRIS according to company policy and guidelines Assists with converting business processes into routine workflows and routine system configurations.Assists in developing system procedures and guidelines. Researches, analyzes, identifies and recommends system and process improvements.

2. Assists with preparation and go live implementation of HRIS including user acceptance testing to ensure that HR systems meet the outlined requirements. Assists in the review, testing and implementation of scheduled HRIS releases and other system releases or patches. Responsible for regular maintenance of HRIS library of how-to guides.Helps identify and evaluate future system enhancements or functionality that may be beneficial to the organization and recommends to management schedules for enhancements.

3. Performs ongoing reconciliations of HR data to ensure data integrity. Maintains HRIS EIB integrations and develops minor integrations on an ongoing basis. Imports/exports electronic data transfers.Audits and reconciles the imported/exported data.

4. Coordinates or supports the needs of other teams within and outside of the HR department that impact HR systems. Responds to questions from employees, managers, department heads regarding HRIS.

5. Troubleshoots basic technical problems and deficiencies within the HRIS, recommends changes to resolve issues and refers most difficult problems to HRIS Technical Administrator. Serves as a point of contact for issue tracking, documentation, testing and resolutions within the HRIS.

6. Assists with HR Department's and organization's data reporting needs, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ad hoc reports, and on-demand data requests.

7. Assists in developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Communicates basic system information to employees. Assists with training employees on processes and functionality. Monitors and maintains standardized internal control procedures.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

8. Performs special projects or related duties as assigned or as situation dictates.

Required Knowledge:

  • Bachelor degree in computer engineering, computer science, mathematics or related field or equivalent
  • 2-3 years related work experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of HRIS functional areas
  • Database architecture and administration
  • Software implementation and/or development



Preferred Knowledge:

  • Programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic, C# or ASP
  • Human Resource laws and practices

Regular attendance is an essential requirement of the position. Required to work additional time as needed to meet deadlines.

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the good faith salary range for this job is $65,000 - $100,000. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2. This good faith salary range will only apply where this described position will be performed in the state of Colorado, and should not be considered the compensation range in other locations or for other positions.
