Job Summary

AECOM is seeking to fill a HR Sr. Director, Global Business Services position.

This position will offer flexibility for remote / virtual work schedules and can be based from a variety of locations globally.

This position will oversee the HR function across major GBS Centers in Manila, Bucharest, India and Americas with around 1500 FTEs globally. This is a key senior leadership role responsible translating GBS strategy into actionable plans ensuring it is operationalized Globally and at Center level. This role ensures that all GBS Centers are aligned but strategically positioned to respond AECOM's business needs in relation to people strategy and execution.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Develop actionable business plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in close partnership with Head of GBS.
  • Direct the full spectrum of the HR function for Global Business Services globally.
  • Oversee the HR processes and programs such as Talent Management, Succession Planning, Performance Management, across all GBS Centers.
  • Function as a strategic business advisor to Business Line leaders to address key organizational and management issues, human capital priorities and challenges in the market.
  • Develop workforce strategies in support of GBS' business objectives and contribute to the overall GBS and Corporate strategies such as but not limited to Talent Attraction and Retention, Compensation and Benefits and Employee Engagement.
  • In close partnership with Business Line leaders and Centers of Expertise, provide leadership and guidance to the GBS HR function by driving HR projects and optimizing delivery of HR solutions to meet business needs and growth and address overall talent priorities.
  • Drive the design, implementation and alignment of effective HR policies and procedures.
  • Effectively lead and guide a team of HR professionals in delivering high quality HR services while promoting a cohesive team culture, and a supportive and positive work environment.
  • Establish and implement workforce programs that effectively communicate and drive the organization's mission, culture and values and support growth in a Corporate and Shared Services Center environment.
  • Implement HR best practices and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and the company's HR policies.
  • Support and manage key HR strategic programs and initiatives, and ad hoc HR projects and tasks assigned
  • Proactive engagement with Corporate HR to ensure global and functional organizational alignment with AECOM's people agenda

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management and any Business Course
  • Minimum 15 years extensive strategic HR Business Partner experience in sizable MNCs
  • Relevant HR experience supporting a Shared-Service Centre/ Business Process Outsourcing
  • Strong people manager, with proven experience
  • Evidence of leading and delivering change within an HR function
  • Comfortable working in a changing complex organization with evolving requirements
  • Ability to contribute new ideas and suggestions to make a difference to the HR organization
  • Excellent in written and spoken English
  • Sound experience of working with HR information systems, fully competent in MS Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading a global or regional HR organization
  • (BPO) environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of local employment laws, statutory guidelines and HR practices
  • Excellent cross-cultural and cross-functional management skills in a matrix organization
  • Proven leadership qualities, excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels
  • Excellent influencer and communicator with a logical and pragmatic style
  • Demonstrates focused approach on client service excellence working in collaboration with key stakeholders and business partners
