HR Manager

Fairfax, VA

Responsible for the administration and coordination of a variety of Human Resources functions, which may include on-/off-boarding, employee relations, benefits, training, compliance, compensation, performance management, talent acquisition, etc. Overall responsibility for leading the program, department, or functional area as designated. Oversees. directs, and mentors subordinate staff; communicates job expectations and enforces organizational policies, procedures and core values; responsible for recruiting staff, approving timecards, and conducting performance reviews and disciplinary measures.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
6-8 years of human resources experience and 2-5 years of experience managing one or more HR functions.

Other Job Specific Skills • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).• Strong interpersonal skills both oral and written.• Strong organizational skills.• Ability to manage a high volume of assignments with varying complexity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with integrity and professionalism.• Understanding of state and federal requirements and employment regulations. • Experience administering employee benefit plans, recruitment and compensation plans. • Knowledge of change management and organizational development principles and practices. • Ability to conceptualize, organize, implement, and evaluate HR programs and services. • Proven ability to establish credibility and maintain positive relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization. • Experience delivering a broad range of HR programs.• Effective consulting and facilitation skills.

Certifications/Licensures
PHR / SPHR preferred.
