Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of five years of human resource management experience
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Understanding of labor laws in Ohio and Kentucky and disciplinary procedures
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Strong ethics and reliability
- HR Manager or Head of People who have worked in a startup company/ culture preferred
- Experiences with PEO preferred
- Ability to work independently and figuring solutions out autonomously
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of payroll and the ability to solve payroll issues efficiently
- Creating and providing counseling on policies and procedures
- Create and implement effective onboarding plans
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
- Maintain employee records (attendance, OOO data, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
- Identifying tax problems and developing solutions
