The Human Resources Generalist will work with senior Human Resources professionals to support alignment with the business, develop and deliver sound business solutions for anticipated, existing, and new business challenges. The Generalist possesses an overall understanding of HR policies and practices and works collaboratively with assigned business leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:
Support HR Business Partners in their day-to-day activities (e.g., employee first point of contact and intake, letters, presentations, tracking, invoice/expense management, file management, updating HR policies, etc.)
Act as a trusted advisor to employees in the interpretation of HR policies and procedures and assist in resolution of issues; interpret, coach, and enforce Company policies and procedures for consistency and compliance
Provide guidance and counsel to employees and managers regarding basic employee relations issues
Assist with employee relations intake, investigative fact-finding and prepare responses
Assist with the management of a diverse set of company-wide HR projects and initiatives as assigned
Collaborate with centers of excellence in recruitment, training, and development, & benefits and compensation to support the employee life cycle
Coordinate and facilitate activities and logistics
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to HR leadership
Conduct supervisory and interpersonal skills training
Compile and manage weekly and monthly reports
Assist with communicating and coordinating processes and HR initiatives
Create employment letters such as promotion, salary increase, bonus, etc. Draft template updates and custom letter requests as needed
Process employee changes in Workday such as promotions, transfers, terminations, etc.
Upload HR documents into personnel files
Assist HR team with credit card expense reporting
Maintain HR folders
Manage year-end process execution (reporting, tracking, promotions etc.).
Relevant Experience:
3-5 years of HR experience in a mid to large size HR organization
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
Experience with handling basic employee relations issues, with tact, discretion, and confidentiality
Strong project management skills to successfully navigate multiple deadlines, attention to detail, remain organized and track deliverables with ability to work both independently and in a team
Proven ability to prioritize the most impactful work amidst multiple competing priorities
Effective problem solver, resourceful in finding solutions
Tech-savvy with experience in using HRIS systems – preferably Workday
Proficient Microsoft Office skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook,
Solid communication skills - verbal and written, clearly and concisely
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
