About the team
The People Partner II role in Houston is a part of a successful team and where each member supports populations throughout the South-Central and West territory of the United States. Team members are assigned by State. The team meets weekly to collaborate, empower and learn from each other. Each member brings great strengths and our team supports each other to the fullest. And of course, fun is had by all!
What you will be doing
In this role, you would support both exempt and non-exempt employees with much of the non-exempt population being a call center.

  • Counsel and assist departments and managers on staff training and development, job assignments, performance appraisals, compensation reviews, disciplinary actions and promotions/transfers.
  • Investigates employee issues by interviewing all parties involved, researching documentation and obtaining relevant information from members of management.
  • Listens to employee complaints/concerns and determines appropriate action.
  • Prepares various reports by collecting data from source documents, entering into spreadsheet software and/or performing statistical analyses to aid management in decision making.
  • Conducts new employee orientation sessions. Ensures all paperwork is processed correctly.
  • Provides managers with HR guidance and support for performance and salary review processes.


What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience in employee relations/employee investigations
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, manage multiple deadlines, work on moderate to complex projects and objectively evaluate information gathered.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • PHR Certification
  • Experience supporting a call center
  • Data analytics experience
