HR Generalist – 2023 Campus Recruiting
Our Opportunity:
The Chewy Campus Recruiting Team is seeking an HR Generalist in our Dallas, TX or Hollywood, FL offices. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in HR administration areas, have a strong customer service background and be detail oriented. This role is responsible for the hiring process for all new hires, ensure completed new hire enrollment, vendor management and accurate payroll. In addition, this role will be responsible for leave administration for corporate offices, responding to unemployment requests and ensuring Cobra processing is completed. To be successful in this role you will need to be passionate about employee benefits and compliance, ensuring team members have the support they need, and the company is protected by complying with state and federal labor policies.
What You'll Do:
- Primary backup to HR Specialists
- Maintains HRIS data entry/integrity
- Primary escalation contact for employee benefit inquiries
- Maintains employee leave process
- Ensures benefit materials are up to date and available to employees
- Conducts/Coordinates New Hire Orientation
- Performs weekly payroll data audits
- Analyze data proactively in support of HR initiatives.
- Reconciles benefit invoices
- Responsible for all pre-hire activities such as background checks, new hire paperwork, completing I-9/E-verify compliance requesting employee badges and parking pass.
- Oversee the New Hire gift project
- Annual EEO-1 filing compliance
- Annual I-9 Audit
- Develops standardized and ad hoc reports to support HR Operations.
- Assists with HR special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited bachelor’s degree program with an anticipated graduation date between December 2022 and June 2023.
- Experience with human resources Centers of Excellence (COE), such as; benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations in an academics, internships or projects setting.
- Customer service focused, have a passion for process improvement, be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail oriented; demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, as well as strong data entry skills.
- Highly proficient with Excel.
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization required.
