We’re seeking a Director of Human Resources responsible for developing and managing an HR strategy to assure the company’s ability to successfully meet its business strategy and goals, alongside meeting the appropriate requirements for organizational and staff development to keep pace with the growth plans of the company. Responsible for end-to-end creation, execution, and oversight of all HR processes and related metrics, create related company policies, and structure the HR function and department. They will work closely with our HR Business Partner, vendors, and employees to deliver services professionally.

Responsibilities

  • The role will be responsible for the oversight, direction and planning of all human resources strategies, policies and programs
  • Handle employee relations issues for the company. This includes working with managers to identify performance issues and develop and implement appropriate measures to provide employees the opportunity to succeed and to take corrective action where necessary
  • Develop goals and track performance against key indicators, assess departmental performance, and develop and implement process improvements or enhancements
  • Assess policies and procedures regularly to ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, local laws and regulations
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing employee career development, performance evaluation, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development
  • Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance
  • Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required
  • Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and management ability, with at least 5+ years management experience, with 6-8+ years of human resources experience
  • Demonstrated experience in and a working knowledge of Human Resource laws, policies, trends, and best practices
  • Strong background effectively managing Employee Relations, Recruitment, Benefits and Compensation functions
  • The ability to multi-task projects and priorities as well as the ability to efficiently manage time and resources
  • Ability to facilitate interactions and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to demonstrate clear, concise communication, good judgment, and discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high emotional intelligence
  • Start up experience is a plus!
