This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a HR Business Partner to provide support in our Southeast Region. The position can be based in any WSP Southeast Region Location with a preference to Atlanta, GA, Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC or Nashville, TN.

Your Impact

  • Under general guidance, deliver HR policies and programs, partner with district leadership, provide advice and guidance to managers, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Under general guidance, have latitude to use discretion, professional knowledge, and judgment in advising in matters of significance to the firm, such as FLSA determination, promotion, salary, and special payment decisions.
  • Interpret and implement management policies, suggesting options and alternatives for manager approval.
  • Be assigned projects requiring research or investigation into matters of significance to the firm, such as HR related investigations and comparative analysis assignments.
  • Participate in the resolution of employee relations issues.


Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with major concentration in HR related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three to five years' HR experience
  • Evidence of business acumen with ability to influence and advise managers
  • Able to rigorously assess talent with a combination of objectivity and a hint of intuition
  • Desire to succeed in a fast-paced, matrix, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Solutions-oriented and creative problem solver in a sometimes resource-constrained environment
  • Self-starter; results oriented and motivated professional
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies


Preferred Qualifications

  • AEC Industry specific experience
  • HR Certifications
