The focus of this role is to assess, guide and positively influence the business. We are seeking someone who is just as passionate as we are. Our Business Partners are proactive communicators and change agents, who can successfully balance employee needs with business objectives to create integrated solutions that drive our results forward.

The Human Resource Business Partner role provides strategic and tactical support, management consultation and employee relations services to our U.S. organization under the Americas Region. This role facilitates many key people initiatives as an investment in Trend.

What you will do:

  • Influence leaders and employees by recommending new approaches, policies and procedures to affect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and employee development
  • Manage activities associated with workforce planning, performance management, learning and development, compensation, and employee relations
  • Advise and coach managers and leadership on HR best practices
  • Mediate disputes and conflicts to collaboratively find solutions that meet both employee and business needs, to reduce distractions and enhance results
  • Communicate generously while simultaneously managing multiple organizational priorities
  • Facilitate the roll out and training of various HR compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations initiatives, and business line programs
  • Coordinate performance management and succession planning programs that continuously improve workforce productivity, increase leadership development, and helps managers to differentiate employee productivity and performance standards
  • Build knowledge of local labor market trends and coach managers on competitive ways to attract and retain top talent, including career development options
  • Contribute to the development and facilitation of multiple org development, reward and recognition, team building and conflict resolution initiatives
  • Support a direct technology industry client population of 200-300 employees, including up to 40 managers in multiple lines of business

Qualifications / What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelors' Degree required, MS or MBA current HR certification is highly desired
  • Experience in fast paced, high-tech, software environments
  • 2-4 years HR Business Partner or HRM experience is preferred, with 3 years of overall HR specialist or generalist experience is required
  • Application of US HR employment law knowledge and experience in mitigating risks
  • Experience using WorkDay HRIS modules and reporting skills, techniques and practices
  • Ability to consistently deliver responsive, high-quality consultation and positive client influencing
  • Fundamental knowledge of compensation and variable pay plans
  • Demonstrates managerial courage and consistency to share hard observations and influence leaders "to do the right thing"
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with business presence and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization, with care and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated change management skills, with the flexibility to juggle competing priorities
  • Demonstrates the highest level of integrity, ethics and strict confidentiality
  • Fosters and promotes a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as development and learning
