Contract to Hire

Job Summary

The HR Business Partner provides HR support, process knowledge advice and consultation. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas, including, but not limited to employee relations, manager training, new hire onboarding, off-boarding, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. As a member of the People & Culture team, this role is hands on and serves on the HR front lines in support of the business.

Essential Functions

  • Provides Human Resources advice, support, consultation, and guidance, including application of HR policies and processes, to managers and employees
  • Assist and guide performance coaching conversations and participate in all formal performance improvement conversations with managers and employees
  • Human Resource Information System (HRIS) management to include processing new hires, status changes, audits, etc.
  • Handles the entire off-boarding process to include conducting exit interviews and related activities
  • Navigates and assists in the resolution of employee issues and employee relations
  • Act as a liaison both within the HR department and interdepartmentally to effectively execute initiatives and processes
  • Maintains ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and updates policies as needed
  • Facilitates compliance with company policies and advises
  • Ensures proper maintenance of confidential employee information
  • Ensures timely response to inquiries and requests from employees
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor' s degree, preferably in Human Resources or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • 5+ years HR business partner experience or equivalent


Preferred

  • Solid experience in driving positive employee relations, to include strong problem solving and investigative skills
  • Self-motivated, professional, ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism
  • PHR or SPHR / SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and independent judgement
  • Collaborative team player with demonstrated oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and support all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in job duties
  • Solutions focused and process oriented
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable results
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Experience working with global companies

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computers/software, MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Outlook, CRM, HRIS, & GoTo Meeting

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
