HR Business Partner
The People Business Partner advises business units on how to best accomplish their objectives through management practices that cultivate employee engagement. This role provides real-time guidance to Business Unit leaders and line managers while advocating for non-management team members by ensuring their needs are well-represented. Responsibilities
- Works closely with management and employees to support healthy work relationships, high morale, productivity, and retention.
- Manages people program delivery and related systems implementation (including training)
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with employment counsel when necessary.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, corrective actions).
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation, while contributing to policy development.
- Provides guidance and input on business-unit structuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Experience with supporting international leaders and teams, in awareness of local laws and best practices.
- Software industry experience preferred.
- Build and define programs and practices from the ground up (we’re a startup)
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of internal policies/practices and employment regulations.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in participating and leading discussions related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).
