We are looking for an influential and data driven Head of Talent Management to join our amazing People Team, directly impacting everyone in the company and driving value throughout the organization. In this role, you will work closely with HR Business Partners and cross-functional stakeholders such as senior leaders and system engineers to provide consultation, evaluate existing processes, and lead projects to optimize our talent management designs around Performance Management, Talent Reviews and Succession Planning. Positioned on the People Development Team, your work highly contributes to building our culture of continuous development by tailoring talent management designs to meet the needs of an ever changing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a thought leader on everything related to talent management
  • Work closely with key stakeholders (HR Business Partners, senior leaders, Internal Comms, etc.) to develop talent management programs (e.g., Perf, Talent Reviews, Succession Planning, Real-time Feedback, etc.) while maintaining base-level consistency across the organization
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to define and establish a long-term talent strategy that may include topics such as: identifying critical roles, determining talent gaps, contributing to internal mobility efforts, and developing long term plans to bridge talent gaps
  • Evaluate existing processes and run experiments to improve the user experience while ensuring fair and transparent systems that drive our pay for performance philosophy
  • Take over people management responsibilities and build strong partnerships across the organization to ensure new designs align seamlessly with existing programs (e.g., tool development, help resources, communication, analytics)
  • Benchmark talent management approaches and build a strong network with peers inside and outside the organization to build programs that address needs and are ahead of the curve
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development team members and HR Business Partners to develop training materials and help resources customized to user groups (individuals, managers, leaders, HRBPs, function-specific resources, etc.)
  • Apply a strong data driven and story-telling approach when analyzing large data sets, distilling insights and conveying significant findings that drive adjustments to existing designs and give direction for new experiments

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of work experience in a related field (Performance Management, Talent Management, HR Consulting, HR)
  • 5+ years developing and leading Talent Management efforts such as Performance Management, Talent Reviews and Succession Planning in the Tech or Retail industry
  • 3+ years of people management experience with a track record of building and leading a high performing team
  • Demonstrated ability to transform an organization from few annual performance and development touch-points to a continuous and deliberately developmental culture
  • Project Management experience with expertise in scoping, leading and delivering complex programs, as well as a proven track record of project management skills on conception and design through implementation, measurement and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across diverse range of stakeholders and to work across boundaries to build infrastructure
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a passion for solving problems while being resourceful
  • Passion for data and analytics, and ability to influence with data-driven recommendations and customer-oriented problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, handling multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
