As the Head of People Operations, reporting to the CEO, you will be a pillar of culture, champion of employee experience and help lead the efforts in making Roofr a top destination employer. Yes, you will build processes, policies and ensure we are compliant, but you will be so much more! You will have the opportunity to build the People Ops foundation from the ground up, being one of the most impactful members of our company.

 

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Build and implement a People strategy that supports Roofr’s growth plan
  • Act as a strategic leader in regards to employee engagement, retention, organizational development, talent development & organizational culture
  • Identify headcount needs & work closely with Talent Acquisition to launch those job requisitions
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth onboarding of new employees
  • Provide leadership training to management and executive teams
  • Lead, coach and develop the People Operations team
  • Implement KPIs & analyze people metrics and to drive our decisions
  • Champion and build the Roofr culture
  • Help maintain an environment where employees feel appreciated, love coming to work, and feel they are always growing!
  • Inherit 2 talented People Ops team members and help facilitate their growth and support their areas of expertise

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • 5+ years of experience managing an HR/People team, ideally in a high velocity growth environment
  • Experience building out global processes and policies to scale
  • Experience leading a People team in a remote environment
  • Demonstrated ability to scale global teams, while maintaining team culture and engagement
  • Deep understanding of People Operations best practices
  • Strong knowledge of People Operations technologies and analytics
  • Startup experience is a huge plus

What are some social events your company does?

Roofr puts on several in-person and virtual events every year so our remote team can get to know one another. We have in-person retreats in lake country in Ontario, holiday parties in Toronto, and virtual events like trivia and scavenger hunts. Having the opportunity to get to know one another beyond the workday is so important for our culture.
