The opportunity

As Lead Executive Recruiter, Associate Director, you'll participate in the development and implementation of our Executive Recruiting strategy aligned to a service line, business and/or region of EY. You'll partner with our Talent Acquisition Recruiter/s to identify top talent for our business. As part of a high performing team, you'll serve as a trusted business advisor to our internal stakeholders while also ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. In addition to your responsibilities for navigating candidates and internal stakeholders through the hiring process, you'll also provide coaching and development to other Executive Recruiters, as appropriate. Your key responsibilities include

  • Serving as our Executive Recruiter for our People Advisory Services (PAS) business within our Tax service line, which includes development of workforce planning and providing coaching, training and development of team members
  • Developing and fostering relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Developing, modifying and executing recruitment strategies to attract and retain executive hires
  • Integrating EY's brand strategy from the hiring approval stage to new hire orientation
  • Conducting strategic analysis of recruitment and candidate data to develop recruitment strategy and workforce planning sessions
  • Negotiating compensation and other offer-related variables
  • Advising hiring managers, recruiting leaders and firm leadership on pipeline development, progress of candidates and implementation of hiring plans based on business strategy
  • Driving operational and process excellence to ensure a quality candidate experience
  • Acting as a change agent for new technology, tools and processes that are rolled out to the broader recruiting community


Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrating knowledge in attracting and engaging executive hires while leveraging a variety of recruitment resources
  • Ability to function in a lead role providing coaching and counseling to other recruiters and team members
  • Ability to utilize strategic thinking skills and collaborate with fellow team members on best practices
  • Consultative approach with clients, serving as a talent advisor on the recruitment process



To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Extensive experience in the executive (Partner / Principal or equivalent) level search (minimum 7 years)
  • Experience managing and/or coaching other recruiters
  • Ability to identify and solve complex recruitment issues
  • Ability to develop a recruitment approach for each unique role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 15 - 20 +years of experienced hire recruitment experience, preferably including recent executive rank recruitment
  • Extensive knowledge of current recruitment/hiring laws and practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and knowledge and experience working with applicant tracking software


Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience in a professional services environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with numerous projects happening simultaneously
  • Strong reporting and data analytic skills
