Amplify's Human Resources team is looking for an Executive Director, Talent Acquisition to lead Recruitment for the next phase of organizational growth.
This role, reporting to the head of HR will be responsible for leading, developing, and supporting the recruiting team, implementing forward-thinking and innovative talent strategies for scale, talent pipelining, and designing creative and effective sourcing programs that will support the explosive growth of our mission-oriented organization.
Ideal candidates will have experience developing high-performing teams to deliver on aggressive growth targets. Collaborating across teams to impact strategic hiring initiatives across the organization, the Executive Director, Talent Acquisition will be innovative, proactive, persistent, and will leverage their ability to develop outstanding relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels.
The work of the Executive Director, Talent Acquisition to attract outstanding, diverse talent to our organization will have a direct influence on our mission to create beautiful and effective education technology tools for all students in grades K-12.

  • Owning the design of an innovative strategy to attract the talent that will drive our organization's work to improve learning outcomes for all students excites you! - You will have the opportunity to define the recruiting strategy and build a process that will help us evolve from single role focused recruiting to proactive, strategic workforce planning and prioritization. You will lead efforts to creatively source and pipeline to identify top talent for current and future roles, including a focus on branding and marketing to attract new talent.
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of recruiters, within a growing company - with the opportunity to build for scale is a familiar challenge. - Given our rapid growth, you will have the opportunity to shape the teams' staffing and hiring strategy. You will mentor, coach, and inspire existing talent capability and create opportunities for career development and mobility.
  • You believe in the value of designing and driving excellent recruitment processes and implementation - You will drive focused recruiting processes based on continuous improvement to ensure that we provide a consistently positive experience for candidates, hiring managers, and hiring teams. You will manage business relationships with outside partners and agencies including vetting these partners and agencies and negotiating all contracts and fees. You will work closely with the HR Operations team to ensure a seamless transition from job offer to new hire onboarding.
  • You will drive the organization's effort to attract, develop and retain a diverse workforce - you will manage a recruiting process that mitigates bias and ensures that talent pipelines for all roles are rich with diverse and excellent talent.

You will conceptualize recruiting dashboards and build the capability to make decisions and recommendations using relevant data and metrics - You will partner closely with functions such as HR Operations, HRBP, Total Rewards, and Legal to define process objectives and metrics that ensure success.

You have experience communicating broadly, as a subject matter expert. You have the gravitas, willingness, and ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • You love measuring impact and managing ambitious goals. You're effective at setting clear goals and measuring the impact of initiatives - whether it's about driving accuracy, time savings, or customer delight.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of recruitment leadership, and management experience in progressively more challenging roles
  • 4+ years of experience successfully managing a team of recruiters and recruiting coordinators
  • Experience scaling and leading recruiting functions in a startup or other high growth environment with a focus on process improvement
  • Exhibited consultative style with proven experience supporting senior business leaders, including demonstrated ability to lead discussions with senior business leaders
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret policies, contracts, financial reports, and legal documents pertaining generally to staffing agency agreements, in particular
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating and, managing relationships with outside vendors
  • Experience leveraging ATS tools (ie., Workday) for all users in the hiring process


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors including legal regulations, company culture, and methodologies.
  • Proven communication (verbal and written) abilities with the demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of sensitive and confidential issues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, with flexibility and poise
