Employee Relations Manager

Reporting into the Head of Employee Relations and Workforce Policies, the Employee Relations Manager will have company wide responsibilities supporting investigations, performance management, accommodations, and more!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and lead complex workplace investigations related to employee claims and advise leaders and HR Business Partner teams
- Provide counsel and coaching to managers and team members at an individual level, and by developing training offerings that can scale
- Act as a true thought leader by understanding key internal and external trends in employee relations, and proactively driving continuous improvement across the company
- Interpret policies and procedures, incorporating knowledge of state and federal employment laws. (i. e. ADA, FMLA, EEO) and practice and provide recommendations to resolve complex employee relations issues
- Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Lyft's workplace policies and practices in close partnership with Lyft's Legal, People and Inclusion teams
Experience:
- 4+ years of HR experience - experience in employee relations, inclusion and diversity, or HR business partner roles preferred; or 6+ years as a people manager
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education
- Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII
- Experience building and improving workplace policies and practices
- Proven ability to track, prioritize and drive multiple concurrent projects
- Strong problem-solver with ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Extremely attentive to detail, with superb oral and written communication skills
- Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
