GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Employee Experience Strategy Manager is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of Employee Experience (EX) initiatives that support the full employee journey. Collaborates with Human Capital, leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure initiatives and tactics are supportive of business strategies. Enable leadership to be responsible and accountable for an improved employee experience, in alignment with the Bank's core values.

Overall, leads the program management of key internal recognition programs and activities, along with the activation, sustainment and evolution of the Employee Value Proposition (EVP). Works with internal partners such as LoBs, staff functions, Internal Communications, Finance and Human Capital Centers of Excellence.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations for the EX that connect to the Bancorp strategy and Fifth Third's culture.
  • Establish and lead operating rhythms that prioritize and drive EX initiatives across the Bank's footprint.
  • Participate in local, regional, and national events to learn leading-edge practices related to engagement, branding, recognition; recommend how to integrate these practices into the EX strategy.
  • Develop short- and long-term project plans to ensure EVP sustainment.
  • Ensure EVP is communicated and applied consistently across Human Capital services, delivery channels and resonates across the enterprise.
  • Partner with Human Capital centers of excellence to ensure Bank's EVP is foundation in attraction and retention strategies.
  • Leads the development and execution of recognition strategies to enhance overall employee experience which may include but is not limited to: Building infrastructure, setting budgets, providing policy and governance recommendations, evolving and sustaining strategy, aligning with corporate culture and continuous listening strategies and initiatives, and managing recognition vendors, resources and tools.
  • Conducts business impact analysis of recognition strategies in partnership with HC Analytics and Finance partners.
  • Facilitates presentations, trainings and other enablement activities in-person and via virtual mediums.
  • Support employee experience initiatives as requested/needed to ensure we continue to strengthen our culture and engagement



MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, learning and development, marketing or equivalent program is required.
  • 10 years or more of project management or relevant work experience preferred. Direct experience with employee experience and recognition programs preferred.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated resilience, diplomacy, influence, relationship building, and problem-solving skills in a variety of situations.
  • Vendor management and group facilitation skills and experience.
  • Knowledge of emerging issues and current thinking on employee experience and recognition methodology. Learning design, Training Development/Facilitation and web design experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and navigate applications and systems for a positive end user experience.
  • Be able to take initiative and work independently on our EX strategy to deliver on both expectations and new ways of thinking.
  • Be an employee champion by representing employee interests in all forums and always maintaining and employee-centric orientation.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook applications.
  • Expert at PowerPoint and other applications required for displaying meeting content.
  • Experience exercising discretion; ability to maintain confidentiality, earn trust and build credibility with all organizational levels in a complex environment with tight and simultaneous deadlines and broad direction.
