An Insider's view of GumGum

What are some social events your company does?

There's social events that range from meeting the CEO with the class of new hires, leadership bites, internal challenges to win gifts and prizes, wellness gatherings for you to learn more about your own mental and physical health, direct team bonding events, and what we call Quarterly Causes to give back to big issues in the world.

Dom Linton

People Operations Coordinator

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

One of the challenges our team faces is training a deep learning model with minimal biases. The goal is to discern between safe and threatening content such that brands are only aligned with brand suitable content. Our priority is to ensure that our data is diverse and representative resulting in a model that is more objective than subjective.

Iris Fu

Senior Manager, Computer Vision

What makes someone successful on your team?

On the marketing team at GumGum, we not only succeed for being creative and innovative with our campaigns but truly being focused on ROI and analytics to help make smarter decisions to where our investments should go with highest returns toward our growth goals.

Som Puangladda

Vice President Of Global Marketing

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

A team isn’t truly a team unless everyone involved is open to new ideas, approaches and feedback—including the leadership group. And I believe a successful company is when leadership clearly articulates their values to the employees with the hope that they share these values and beliefs. Keeping open dialogue throughout the company is essential.

Phil Schraeder

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

The Data Engineering team at GumGum is excited to be migrating our key systems to a new stack consisting of Astronomer AirFlow, DataBricks Spark streaming and Snowflake for warehousing. Our ultimate goal is to build a single data model and process to unify our batch and streaming pipelines, reducing cost and the time to implement new features
