Employee Engagement Specialist
Chewy is seeking an Employee Engagement Specialist in Richardson, TX to support Chewy’s mission to be a best in class place of work. This is an exciting opportunity to drive a cultural transformation and support our transition to a mixed on-site, off-site company. You’ll work cross-functionally to execute strategies that create a meaningful employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. As part of our broader employee engagement work, you will also partner closely with engagement councils to create and implement programs that bring our employee experience mission to life. A successful candidate cares deeply about building culture and has experience in customer service operations as well as event coordination and project management.
What You'll Do:
- Provide administrative support to Employee Experience Managers
- Coordinate events during new hire orientation
- Partner with the Talent team to support feedback processes and employee development efforts; maintain upward feedback schedule
- Execute and coordinate various employee surveys and feedback loops; administer survey platforms
- Organize documentation to ensure that current versions of department documents and employee communications are up-to-date and accurate; archive and organize previous versions (Intranet)
- Format and maintain an internal employee engagement portal with updated communications and activities
- Execute programs and initiatives that focus on promoting employee appreciation and recognition
- Lead and organize an internal committee and contribute to a company-wide calendar and produce events that provide meaningful experiences for employees to connect virtually
- Create "out of the box" initiatives to enhance the employee experience throughout the employee life cycle
- Handles inventories, shipping, and orders internally branded supplies
What You'll Need:
- Excellent presentation skills, writing, editing, and Excel manipulation - bring an ability to think and communicate information visually
- Passion for developing culture and desire to champion a new employee engagement strategy at Chewy
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in presenting or facilitating with smaller groups (10-15 persons)
- Experience supporting organizations with high degree of complexity
- Energetic and self-motivated individual
- Ability to follow through on commitments and meet assigned deadlines
- Ability to create and maintain content on an employee intranet
- Effective communication and design skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong desire for collaboration and teamwork
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable with change know how and when to be effective, successful change agents
- High degree of organizational and time management skills
- Able to set and manage expectations and competing priorities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Some travel may be required
