What you'll be able to do:

  • Lead and facilitate the Ford Next leadership to create a culture of inclusiveness in Ford Next that inspires and delivers inclusive design of products and services, partnerships/procurement, and go-to-market strategies with an emphasis on business and brand implications of including equity in our work.
  • Contribute thought leadership in the development of DEI strategy. Provide innovative insights and published research. Act as an internal consultant on how to implement Ford Next DEI priorities to foster a diverse team at all levels, working in collaboration with HR on opportunities.
  • Develop and manage DEI action plans. Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion PoV development for Ford Next and be accountable for associated OKRs.
  • Support project teams within regular working sessions to assess progress and effectiveness, and to challenge the teams to develop innovative insights for recruitment, employee experiences, leadership development and other people systems.
  • Support and empower leaders who are less experienced in leading conversations about diversity and inclusion to build capacity in equity leadership.
  • Deliver client-facing DEI expertise, insights, and advice through advisory calls, workshop facilitation, consulting, and presentations. Lead the scoping, development, and facilitation on-site/online workshops and training sessions to assist members in accelerating their DEI strategy and initiatives.
  • Partner with communication team to develop internal and external communication strategy highlights diversity efforts and success stories, provides spaces for dialogue with employees and customers that build trust and confidence in our brand and our approach to equity along our journey.
  • Participate in Ford Next leadership forums and other relevant forums.
  • Serve as key point of contact, partner, and liaison with the corporate DEI Office, ERG's and external contacts.
  • Manage DEI calendar and events.


The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of academic and/or professional background in diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in academic, corporate, and/or nonprofit organizations effectively working with historically underrepresented groups


Our preferred requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of the USA DEI landscape (internal to Ford and external), and a passion for this space
  • Combination of educational background and/or extensive experience in DEI work
  • Shown experience in influencing at all levels
  • Comfort in speaking publicly to large, diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise building collaboration amongst stakeholders across all functions and levels
  • Emotional resilience and determination to support cultural evolution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, specifically as it relates to communicating to a variety of internal and external partners about diversity, equity and inclusion
