Director Total Rewards

Our Total Rewards Director will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Human Capital Officer to ensure compensation, benefits, retirement, and wellbeing programs align with the goals and objectives of Nebraska Medicine. Lead the Total Rewards Center of Expertise to translate HR strategy into meaningful initiatives, incorporating a systemic view across all Human Capital disciplines. Manage the overall Total Rewards COE team. Partner with other HR and Nebraska Medicine leaders to align reward strategies, benefits, and wellbeing services with broader organizational goals. Interact with the senior most levels in the organization and serve as an advisor to the vice presidents in designing innovative strategies to serve diverse employee populations and solve organizational challenges. Serve as a vital human capital leader and contribute to the overall talent strategy of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

* Minimum of ten years experience in total rewards including experience in both compensation and benefits within a multimillion-dollar, multiple location corporation

* Minimum of eight years management experience

* Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field

* Deep HR knowledge in health and benefits programs, retirement plans, broad based compensation, regulatory compliance, etc.

* In depth expertise designing innovative compensation and benefits models across different employee segments

* Strong analytical and financial expertise

* Change agent; able to deal with uncertainty

* Strong negotiation skills

* Proven ability to coach, guide, mentor, and develop staff

* Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key external constituents, including vendors

* Proven experience in project management

* Strong influencing skills (influence/persuade leaders in impacting positive change)

* Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to present difficult perspectives to senior leadership

* Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrates effective listening and questioning skills and is comfortable dealing with all levels in the organization

* Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills

* Success in creating and articulating complex strategies and plans to both executive management and peers

* Ability to evaluate, design and recommend compensation and benefit programs based on market assessment and business strategy

* Demonstrated ability to blend both the art and science of compensation

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Health Care Management, or another related field

* Experience in a multimillion-dollar health care system with multiple locations or larger

* Executive compensation and benefits experience

* Thought leader in compensation, incentives, and benefits trends in healthcare
