The Director of Faculty and Staff Recruitment reports directly to the Associate Vice President for Human Resources and serves as a member of the Human Resources Leadership Team. Based out of our Omaha campus, the Director is responsible for leading Creighton's faculty and staff recruitment strategy, with a focus on attracting and retaining a diverse, highly engaged and effective workforce that supports the University's Jesuit, Catholic mission and strategic initiatives. Creighton employs over 4,800 faculty and staff in 38 states with the majority of employees being located in Omaha, Nebraska and at our newer campus location in Phoenix, Arizona.

As the leader of the Recruitment Team, the Director collaborates to develop, implement, manage, and execute talent strategies and solutions, enabling a culture of excellence and engagement. The Director will oversee the strategy and day-to-day operations for recruitment and selection of faculty and staff for our Omaha and Phoenix campuses. The Director will partner with college and department management team members to ensure that staffing goals are aligned with organizational needs. This role will be accountable for execution of Creighton's Affirmative Action Plan and OFCCP Compliance.

Additional duties include the following:
  • Lead, develop, and coach a team of recruiters, to ensure strong team capabilities and service delivery. Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert to guide and set performance standards for the team.
  • Develop and implement broad organizational recruitment strategy including identifying and selecting recruitment partners, maximizing the use of current technology and help strengthen our employer brand.
  • Lead recruitment efforts by developing, implementing and refining recruiting and onboarding efforts to attract top talent across the institution with a commitment to diverse hiring practices.
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with leadership and hiring managers by understanding business objectives and providing solutions to recruitment needs.
  • Strategize, implement and actively work toward building a diverse and qualified talent pipeline for current and future job openings.
  • Define and utilize metrics within Taleo recruiting to provide ongoing and ad-hoc recruitment information to senior leadership.
  • Identify and track key performance indicators related to talent acquisition and incorporate the metrics into department goals
Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and experience leading a team of recruiters
Experience in higher education, academic healthcare or health system setting preferred
Minimum of 10+ years' experience with recruitment or talent acquisition
SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CIR preferred
2+ years supervisory experience;
Proficiency skills in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge of principles and procedures for employee recruitment, selection, compensation and benefits
Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title IX, Civil Rights Act of 1964
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Ability to influence change
Proficient in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Skills using various social media recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
Able to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies for various roles in various departments within the University
Knowledge of mentoring and coaching principles

Demonstrated experience with strategic and master planning;
Experience with budget planning, forecasting and fiscal management of an operating budgeting
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex plans coordinated with multiple constituencies.
